Amoxil

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that fights bacterial growth and infection.

Amoxicillin can be taken with food or without food, and take at regular intervals so as to keep the amount of medication high enough in the blood stream to treat the infection.

There should be a minimum of 6 to 8 hour gap between doses or as suggested by your doctor.

Inform your healthcare professional if you notice any of these symptoms or any other symptoms which are unusual or persistent:

Severe or bloody diarrhea
Abdominal cramps
Hives
Seizures

Amoxil may even cause a fever

Amoxil may even cause a sore throat

Amoxil may even cause a headache

Amoxil may even cause blistering

Amoxil may even cause peeling

Amoxil may even cause a red skin rash

Amoxil may even cause nausea

Amoxil may even cause stomach pain

Amoxil may even cause a low fever

Amoxil may even cause a loss of appetite

Amoxil may even cause the patient to pass dark urine

Amoxil may even cause the patient to pass clay – colored stools

Amoxil may even cause Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)

Amoxil may even cause vaginal itching

Amoxil may even cause vaginal discharge

Amoxil may even cause a swollen, Black, or `Hairy` tongue

Amoxil may even cause a Thrush (white patches inside one’s mouth or throat)

Amoxil may even cause Anemia

Amoxil may even cause anxiety

Amoxil may even cause changes in behavior

Amoxil may even cause Colitis

Amoxil may even cause confusion

Amoxil may even cause convulsions

Amoxil may even cause tooth discoloration in children

Amoxil may even cause Insomnia

Inform your health care professional if you are allergic to amoxicillin or any other medication.

Birth Control Pills
Probenecid

Inform your doctor of any other medication that you might be taking for any other condition at this time.

Before using Amoxil, the patient must inform their Health Care Professional if they are allergic to any drugs, especially Cephalosporins such as:

Amoxil is used only in the case that the patient is not allergic to Ceclor

Amoxil is used only in the case that the patient is not allergic to Ceftin

Amoxil is used only in the case that the patient is not allergic to Duricef
