Betamethasone is classified as a corticosteroid.

Contact your paediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children.

Use exactly as prescribed by your health care professional.

Consult your health care professional before you cover the treated area with a bandgage or any other kind of covering.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

thinning of the skin
swelling of the face/lips/tongue
sunburn(more likely especially on the face)
painful red/pus filled blisters in hair follicles
mild burning/itching/irritation of the skin
lack of healing of skin condition
infection
increased redness/scaling of the skin
easy bruising
dry skin
dark red spots on the skin
burning/itching of the skin(constant)
allergic reactions(skin rash/itching/hives)

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

Any other skin product

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

Do not treat yourself with OTC medication whilst on a course with this medication, without consulting with your health care professional.

Do not double applications to make up for a missed application. Consult your health care professional about your missed application.

Betamethasone is used to treat itching, swelling or redness, any other allergic reactions of the skin.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Store in a cool dry place, away from heat and moisture.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :

skin wasting/thinning
rosacea acne
large areas of burned/damaged skin
if you are exposed to anyone with measles/chickenpox
if you get sores/blisters that do not heal properly
glaucoma
diabetes
cataracts
active infection of any type
acne
