Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol may be described as a combination of a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and a topical beta–adrenergic receptor blocking agent.

Furthermore, generic Dorzolamide and Timolol may be described as a sterile, isotonic, buffered, slightly viscous and an aqueous solution.

Lastly, Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol may be described as a white to off – white, crystalline powder which dissolves in water and partially dissolves in Methanol and Ethanol.

• Furthermore, generic Dorzolamide and Timolol is also used to effectively help reduce eye pressure in the case of patients suffering from increased pressure caused by open – angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol ophthalmic solution is available in a 5ml bottle. This medication is meant to be used for the eyes only. The average recommended dosage of generic Dorzolamide and Timolol is one drop, twice a day in the affected eye or both the eyes if required or as directed by your health care professional. However, you must be aware that while on an ongoing course of Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol, if you wear contact lenses be certain to remove the lenses before using the eye drops and only after a gap of 15 minutes must you resume wearing your lenses.

Furthermore, to apply generic Dorzolamide and Timolol wash your hands first to avoid contamination and do not touch the tip of the dropper. In case of an overdose of Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Sometimes, an overdose of generic Dorzolamide and Timolol may cause the patient to experience dizziness, headaches, shortness of breath, slow heartbeat, wheezing, and coughing.

Furthermore, you must be aware that if Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol has accidentally been swallowed, you may experience symptoms such as trouble breathing or palpitations.

Your health care professional may order certain laboratory and/or medical tests to be performed, such as blood pressure levels, smooth functioning of the kidneys, blood electrolyte levels and blood cholesterol levels to check your response to Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol, monitor your progress and check for side effects. Lastly, avoid consuming alcohol and beverages containing even a small percentage of alcohol whilst on an ongoing course of generic Dorzolamide and Timolol. It is important that you do not discontinue this medication without first consulting your health care professional. While on an ongoing course of Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol, you must also refrain from driving a car or operating any kind of machinery until you know how this medication affects you.

It is important that you do not take a double dose of Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol to make up for a missed one unless you have consulted your health care professional.

Store Cosopt generic Dorzolamide and Timolol in the container it came in, keep the lid tightly closed and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature (between 59 – 86 degrees F or 15 – 30 degrees C) and away from excess heat and moisture.
