Rivastigmine is in a class of medications called cholinesterase inhibitors.

Take Rivastigmine medicine only as directed by your doctor.

If you notice any of the symptoms listed below or any other symptoms which seem severe/persistent contact your doctor immediately.

hives
slow heartbeat/palpitations
stomach pain
sweating
uncontrollable movements
vomiting
weight loss
falls
frequency of passing urine/incontinence
nervousness
fainting spells
changes in vision/balance
diarrhea(severe)
dizziness
agitation/increased confusion
redness/blistering/peeling/loosening of the skin(including inside the mouth)
skin rash

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

NSAIDs
oxybutynin
propantheline
tacrine
atropine
benztropine
dicyclomine
digoxin
donepezil
galantamine
glycopyrrolate
hyoscyamine
medications for motion sickness

Inform your doctor about any other medication you may be taking in any other form.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.

If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had :

asthma
irregular/slow heartbeat
kidney disease
liver disease
low blood pressure
parkinson's disease
seizures
stomach/intestinal disease
other lung disease
difficulty passing urine
head injury
heart disease
stomach bleeding
tobacco smoker
ulcers

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose.

Consult your health care professional about your missed dose.

Rivastigmine is used to treat loss of memory and thinking ability associated with Alzheimer's Disease.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Store at room temperature between 15-30 degrees C (59-86 degrees F) away from heat and moisture.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.
