Piroxicam (Feldene) is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It helps relieves pain and inflammation related with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Feldene (Piroxicam) may also be described as a white, crystalline solid.

Only a fraction of Feldene (Piroxicam) dissolves in water, dilute acid and most organic solvents.

Moreover, Feldene (Piroxicam) partially dissolves in alcohol and various other aqueous solutions.

Piroxicam is used to relieve the pain, tenderness, inflammation, & stiffness caused by arthritis.

Feldene (Piroxicam) is also used to help treat joint stiffness, Gouty Arthritis, muscle injuries, menstrual cramps, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Arthritis of the spine.

Capsule :Piroxicam comes as a capsule to take by mouth, can be taken with or without food. Take piroxicam exactly as directed.

Mouth Dissolving Tablets : Consult your doctor for exact dosages and take as directed. Place the tablet under the tongue and let it dissolve. Do not swallow.

Consult a pediatrician for use of this medicine in children.

Sometimes, Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause Gastritis, nausea, kidney impairment, Hepatitis, Melena and Sepsis.

Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause Ecchymosis, Paresthesia, Vertigo, Cystitis and Interstitial Nephritis.

Moreover, Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause Asthenia, Epistaxis, Leukopenia, Purpura, fatigue and a sudden and unexplained increase in weight.

Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause changes in clarity of vision, mood swings, palpitations, gastrointestinal bleeding and fainting spells.

Furthermore, Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause difficulty while swallowing, easy bleeding, fever, a persistent sore throat, stiffness in one’s neck and seizures.

Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause easy bruising, troubled breathing, Nephrotic Syndrome, Eructation and Agranulocytosis.

Lastly, Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause Lymphadenopathy, Pneumonia, Pancytopenia, Onycholysis and sometimes fatal liver toxicity.

Feldene (Piroxicam) may even cause Jaundice, Stevens Johnson Syndrome, dark urine, extreme fatigue and severe abdominal pain.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medicine or any other medicine.

Moreover, Feldene (Piroxicam) interacts with various other medications, such as, Heparin, Warfarin, Prednisone, Desmopressin and Captopril.

Feldene (Piroxicam) interacts with various medications, such as, Losartan, Metoprolol, Lithium, Fluoxetine, Sertraline and Furosemide.

Moreover, Feldene (Piroxicam) interacts with various other medications, such as, Hydrochlorothiazide, Triamterene, Celecoxib, Ritonavir and Ibuprofen.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.

Inform your doctor if you concieve while taking piroxicam.

If you are having surgery, inform your doctor that you are taking piroxicam.

Do not take a double doses to make up for a missed one.

Store at room temperature between 59—86 degrees F, away from heat and light.

Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication.

High Blood Pressure
Any Stomach Problems
Liver/Heart/Kidney Disease
Any Other Gastrointestinal Disease

It is very important for the patient to know that before consuming Feldene (Piroxicam) they must inform their health care professional if they have ever had a history of or are currently suffering from Aspirin – sensitive asthma, Heart Bypass Surgery (CABG), recurring heartburn, intestinal ulcers, heart attacks or fluid retention.

Moreover, it is very important for the patient to know that before consuming Feldene (Piroxicam) they must inform their health care professional if they have ever had a history of or are currently suffering from dehydration, anemia, strokes, blood clotting disorders or nasal Polyps.

Furthermore, it is very important for the patient to know that before consuming Feldene (Piroxicam) they must inform their health care professional if they have ever had a history of or are currently suffering from uncontrolled alcohol consumption, tobacco consumption or cigarette smoking.

Lastly, it is very important for the patient to know that Feldene (Piroxicam) does pass into breast milk.
