However, if mild blistering, swelling or oozing occurs with use of this medication consult your health care professional. It is important that you inform your health care professional of any other medication, in any other form, that you may be taking along with Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine). Furthermore, inform your healthcare professional if you are allergic to any other medication in any other form or even if you are allergic to Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) itself.
Prior to using Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) it is necessary that you inform your health care professional if you are pregnant, plan on getting pregnant or are breast – feeding. If you become pregnant while on an ongoing course of this medication, discontinue the same and consult your health care professional.
Also, in order to avoid reinfection, it is necessary to treat the partner.
If you miss a dose of Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) and it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medication to make up for a missed one.

Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) should be stored in the container it came in. It is also important that the container remains tightly closed and out of the reach of children when not in use. When Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) is not in use or has gotten outdated, with the help of your pharmacist or health care professional, you must dispose of this medication using the appropriate method.
It is very important for the patient to know that before using Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) they must inform their health care professional if they have ever had a history of, or are currently suffering from, fungal skin infections, toenail or fingernail infections, other varied types of infections spread over a large area of skin or immune system complications caused due to organ transplants, etc.
Furthermore, it is still unknown whether Loprox Gel (Ciclopirox Olamine) passes into breast milk or not.
