Normally, in the case of use for surgery, one drop of Ocufen (Flurbiprofen ophthalmic solution) is put in the eye every 30 minutes commencing 2 hours prior surgery, hence a total of 4 drops are administered or exactly as directed by your health care professional.

Furthermore, it is also important for the patient to know that before using Ocufen (Flurbiprofen ophthalmic solution); they must inform their health care professional, if they have ever had a history of or are currently suffering from kidney complications, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcers, varied heart complications, high blood pressure or nasal polyps (extra growth within the nose).
Lastly, it is necessary for you to be aware that while on an ongoing course of Ocufen (Flurbiprofen ophthalmic solution), temporarily your vision may become blurred or unstable after using this medication. You must also be wary of wearing any contact lenses that have not been approved by your health care professional. Wounds may take slightly longer to heal with the use of Ocufen (Flurbiprofen ophthalmic solution). It is also necessary that this medication be used with caution in the case of surgical patients with known bleeding tendencies or who have been administered other medication, hence prolonging their bleeding time.
