• Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion is used to effectively treat dry eyes caused by a particular eye condition called keratoconjunctivitis sicca.
• Furthermore, generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion is also used to effectively decrease swollen eyes caused by various other dry eye complications, thereby allowing the tear ducts within the eyes to increase the production of tears and keep the eyes clean internally.
• However, it is also necessary for you to be aware that this medication is unable to provide a permanent cure.

 |  | How to Use Restasis
Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion is available in a 3ml bottle and 0.4ml vial which must be applied to the eyes only. The average dosage of this medication is one drop in each eye, twice everyday and with a gap of approximately 12 hours. However, if your health care professional has prescribed another dosage, make it a point to follow that particular schedule.
Furthermore, to apply Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion, wash your hands first to avoid contamination and do not touch the tip of the dropper. Be sure that you do not let the dropper touch your eye or any other surface either. However, if you are wearing contact lenses, remove them prior to using generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion. Thereafter, consult your health care professional as to exactly when you should replace your contact lenses post application of this medication.
To put in Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion correctly, tilt your head back, look upwards and pull down your lower eyelid to make a pouch. Then, hold the dropper directly above your eye, place one drop of this medication into the pouch and finally look downward, gently closing your eye for approximately 1 to 2 minutes. If you are on an ongoing course of Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion before you commence taking any new medication (either prescription or OTC), you must first consult your health care professional or pharmacist.
Furthermore, you must be sure to inform your health care professional if you are allergic to generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion or any other medication in any other form. Your health care professional must also be informed if you are taking any other medication in any other form, including nutritional supplements, preservatives, food dyes, iron supplements or herbal products whilst on an ongoing course of this medication. It is necessary for you to be aware that Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion may also interact with various other eye drops and ointments. In case of an overdose of Restasis generic Cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.
